A bio… I have to write a bio! About me? I write fiction not non-fiction so this may be difficult. Okay here goes.
I am pushing thirty, married with 2 kids, 2 ferrets, 1 dog, 1 full-time paying job and several non-paying ones. I live a hectic life and sometimes want to scream, cry, pull my hair out and basically turn two again and throw a temper tantrum. But life won’t beat me no matter how hard it blows me off my feet.
I was excited to get the call from New Concepts Publishing about being published after finishing my first ever manuscript. They were the first publisher I queried and I was never rejected so I know down the line that may affect me when someone does reject one of my manuscripts. But I’m a big girl and I will suck it up and move on like so many of the wonderful authors trapped in hard-working women’s bodies.
I long to move somewhere where it is cool because Texas is nice, but the weather is horrid. We have a saying down here – “If you don’t like the weather, wait it a minute it will change”. My life’s wish list consists of visiting such places as Scotland, France (I know! Don’t throw rotten tomatoes at me.), and Ireland. Meeting my favorite actors Viggo Mortenson and Seann William Scott would be a dream come true and of course, getting my college degree in criminal justice would make me ecstatic.
For now I will settle for traveling from football, baseball and basketball practices and dance recitals while I carry my pad and pen to jot down those stories of far away lands and heroes made of steel with hearts of gold.
